Razer, a well-known gaming device manufacturer for gamers, announced its latest gaming mouse with HyperPolling Technology, the Razer Viper 8KHz. This is the world’s first esports gaming mouse with a poll rate of 8000Hz and the fastest in the world.
Razer HyperPolling Technology has exceeded the gaming mouse standard which is only 1000Hz poll rate and now supports up to 8000Hz. Poll Rate is the frequency which the device will send data to the PC.
Viper 8KHz is the first gaming mouse to feature HyperPolling Technology. Razer mentioned that there are three innovations that they provide, namely razer Optical Mouse Switches and Razer Focus+ Optical Sensor. They combined it with Razer HyperPolling Technology and made the mouse very fast.
The second generation of Razer Optical Mouse Switches has been developed with better tactile feedback, making each click have a more pleasant taste and sound than ever before. Reducing the debounce delay used in traditional mechanical switches, lightning-fast actuation is embedded by HyperPolling Technology to present the lowest latency inputs, helping gamers achieve response times at a professional level. Razer Optical Mouse Switches second generation switches made can at least last up to 70 million clicks.
While the Razer Focus+ Optical Sensor has a resolution accuracy of 99.6% and is best in class, so its movements follow consistently. With the unique intelligent function of the sensor, combined with Razer HyperPolling Technology, players will experience an ultra-smooth, stutter-free cursor movement with a high degree of accuracy so that they can do headshots to win the game.
Razer also updated razer Synapse 3 software that makes players can configure 8 buttons. They can also choose macros or profiles that can store 8KHz Viper configuration profiles. Users can save up to 5 profiles at a time.
To be able to feel the performance of this gaming mouse more optimally, Razer recommends users to run viper 8K with a monitor screen that supports a refresh rate of 144 Hz.
As for configuration, the computer or laptop used should have a processor at least Intel Core i5-8600K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and a minimal graphics processor Nvidia GTX 1080 or AMD Radeon RX 5700.
